I enjoy performing medical mission work and teaching in numerous
countries around the world. I serve as a consultant for
sports-related injuries to many area teams. I am a Preceptor for
students and residents with the Quillen College of Medicine as well as the fourth-year orthopaedic residents from the Jackson,
Mississippi, program. I also coordinate the
Physician’s Assistant Fellowship within our practice. For the past
ten years, I have served as the sports medicine physician for the Masters Water Skiing Tournament at
Calloway Gardens, providing care for the top water skiers in the world. I am currently the team physician for
the United States Ski Team.
My goal is to treat my patients as I would my family. My practice is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and
injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The frequency and impact of these diseases and injuries, combined with recent advances in their
diagnosis and treatment make orthopaedics a critical part of healthcare. I strive to provide as much information as possible to ensure you
make an informed decision on your treatment options.
I reside in Johnson City, Tennessee, with my wife, Laura, and our two children, Alan and Emily. In my free time, I enjoy sports,
woodworking, auto restoration, waterskiing, church activities, and traveling.
At Watauga Orthopaedics, we provide you with the best orthopaedic care available. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do
to make your experience with us more rewarding.
I am looking forward to meeting with you.
Sincerely,
