Welcome to Watauga Orthopaedics! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself. I grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1986. I completed a General Surgery Internship and an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.

As an orthopaedic surgeon, I am dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. I strive to provide you as much information as possible to ensure that you make an informed decision on your treatment options.

My practice includes the treatment of fractures, sports medicine injuries in the young and young at heart, and arthritis of the shoulder, hip and knee. I have a special interest in shoulder problems and their treatment using arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques.

My goal is to care for you as I would my family. I live in Washington County with my wife, Melinda, and our three boys. We home school our children and enjoy hiking, camping, biking, bird watching and woodworking. I also serve as the team physician at Milligan College and Daniel Boone High School.
