Welcome to Watauga Orthopaedics! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about myself. I completed my bachelor of science from Rhodes College, and graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical School with a doctor of medicine in 1998. I did a five-year Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and completed an AO Fellowship with Dr. Bruno Noesberger at Regionalspital in Interlaken, Switzerland.

My goal is to treat my patients as I would my family. As an orthopaedic surgeon my work is dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. The frequency and impact of these diseases and injuries, combined with recent advances in their diagnosis and treatment, make orthopaedics a critical part of healthcare.

My practice is focused on upper and lower extremity reconstruction, arthroplasty and post-traumatic deformity correction. I strive to provide you as much information as possible to ensure that you make an informed decision on your treatment options.

I reside in Johnson City, Tennessee, with my wife, Amber, and our two daughters, Mary Keaton and Annie. We also have three foster children living with us, Glenn, Denver, and Emily. I enjoy running and cycling to stay healthy and have completed a couple of triathlons. I also enjoy the outdoors--snow skiing and duck hunting during the winter months, camping and hiking with my family in the summer.
