James Duncan, PT, MS, CSCS, C-PT

I received my BA in Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama in 1991.  I received my MS in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas in 1995.  I have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 1993 and a Certified Personal Trainer (C-PT) since 1996 through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  I am also presently a member of APTA and TPTA.

Since 1991, I have worked in many types of physical therapy settings ranging from hospital based outpatient orthopedics to private orthopedic practice.  

I have had various teaching and lecturing experience from the local high school level (Science Hill High School) to the college level (ETSU).

I have been involved in many local high school athletic events including football, basketball, and softball tournaments.  Being involved in the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics, was one of the most rewarding and humbling experience to date.

I have been involved in many fundraisers ranging from the “Tour de Cure” for the American Diabetes Association to helping raise funds for the Science Hill Boys Basketball Booster Club to support their athletes.

My greatest joy in life is to watch and to be involved in the lives of my two boys.  Experiencing life with them, watching them involved in sports, and being part of their life in becoming young men has been and continues to be a blessing.
