The word occupation, while commonly used in reference to a person's career, overall means “A meaningful activity in which a person is engaged with in everyday life.” The word physical, on the other hand, is commonly used in reference to strength, but in medical terms it means “Of or pertaining to the body.” These definitions themselves serve as indications to the differences between occupational therapy and physical therapy within the medical field.
