Dr. Tyler Iodence completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology while playing Division I baseball at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His own orthopedic injuries inspired him to pursue medical school and a career in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Iodence earned his medical degree, graduating cum laude from Campbell University in North Carolina, where he also served as President of the Christian Medical & Dental Association. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City before pursuing additional fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia (ORV) in Richmond.
Dr. Iodence is committed to honoring Christ as he serves his patients, caring for their sports-related and general orthopedic needs in the Tri-Cities region. His advanced training in sports medicine enables him to perform both arthroscopic and open procedures of the knee and shoulder. He also provides general orthopedic surgical care, including total joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder.
Outside of work, Dr. Iodence enjoys biking, working out, playing baseball and golf, smoking meat, and spending time outdoors with his wife, two daughters, and their golden retrievers.
