Foot & Ankle
Foot and ankle health is extremely important, as it forms the basis for a healthy and active lifestyle. The foot and ankle are incredibly complex, consisting of 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, and 19 muscles. This unique anatomy makes the foot and ankle susceptible to a wide range of injuries and conditions that can be a source of significant pain and disability. Most people experience foot or ankle pain at some point in their lifetimes. Some common causes of foot and ankle pain include traumatic or sports-related injuries (fractures, sprains), overuse injuries (stress fractures), chronic conditions and diseases (arthritis, diabetes, tendinitis), or deformity (bunions, flat feet).
Watauga Orthopaedics is proud to have on our team the only fellowship-trained foot and ankle specialists in the Tri-Cities. From trauma and sports injuries to chronic foot and ankle conditions, Dr. Jason Fogleman and Dr. Parker Duncan have the experience and expertise to accurately diagnose and effectively treat your foot and ankle problems, so that you can get back to your active lifestyle quickly and safely.
